MORE ABOUT ME
I help my clients at Wild Yes Studio with a heart -centered approach that mixes mindfulness and the creative process to bring into visibility what they are trying to create and transform from the inside. I bring a light-hearted playfulness to my facilitation (packages available) as I help my clients find the YES that will guide them to greater happiness and fulfillment in their lives.
My sincere goal for my clients is to help them create more space, to breathe more deeply, to find individualized ways, guided from an internal source and therefore an authentic internal voice, to be their unique selves, to laugh, and dance, and dream their way into the life they want.
My background:
I have a BFA in drawing and painting from the University of Georgia. I was a little traumatized by the general teaching approach to art making at that time. The critiques and the environment did not help me blossom, especially after having been encouraged artistically, intellectually, and creatively in every way in high school.
Later, when I started teaching classes through Continuing Ed I tried to offer my students what I didn’t get in school; knowledge of the materials and how they work and then encourage them to play and to find their voice. I also offered classes that used art materials as a way to explore what was going on inside the individual. I found this really interesting and enlivening. Then I added my experience with Jungian dreamwork and incorporating personal symbolism.
In 2002, I attended a workshop by ‘The Painting Experience ‘ Wow! It put all the elements that I had been playing with together. It provided an approach to painting that was like painting directly from the dream and stepping away from the conscious mind. From 2002 -2008, I became deeply involved with the Painting Experience and still consider Stewart Cubley one of the most important mentors of my life. From this, I started facilitating my own classes and workshops. In 2004, I started working at The Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support in Athens, Ga. and facilitated painting classes for almost 20 years. Creative expression is a wonderful companion to traditional medicine and helps people understand some of the emotional aspects in themselves in relation to their illness.
These days, I like facilitating one- on- one. I love seeing my clients find knew ways to understand themselves and helping them find new pathways to self expression or to be in the world in a novel way.

MY ART
In order to stay vital creatively and to nurture myself, I must keep my own art practice alive.
I am inspired by the beauty of nature, and the magic of dreams and fairy tales.
My work is fueled by the need to process my own emotional energy and life experiences. Painting in oils and watercolor provide this kind of outlet for me with the added bonus of having an end product with it’s own inherent sense of fulfillment.
I hope I can help you to find your own way to the sense of fulfillment that comes from creating something from seemingly nothing.
